My girlfriend's dog had to be put down today and her family is all torn up. Myself and friends are torn up as well because everyone that met this dog absolutely fell in love.
The best description of the dog came from my girlfriend:
"Ruby, if you were a human you would be a beautiful, plus-sized model."
^I don't know if she loved it or not but she dressed up and was extremely photogenic. This is a poor example from her portfolio haha.
So, Oppo, have at it.
Update: Someone in the office decided that cutting onions is a productive use of time.

That sucks. It's hard getting over the loss of a dog (Yes dogs are better than cats, they won't eat your face when you die.) I don't know if we can cheer you up but we can wallow in grief together and eat Mac n Cheese.

Well, we've been through a couple dogs over the years. You learn to accept it and cherish both the time you have and the memories you keep. But yeah, right now there is a big gaping hole in our home. I was making lunch today and kept waiting for our dog to come trotting around the corner. "Hey, do I smell cheese? Can I have some?"

My fiancee's dog died at her parent's house Saturday night. They told her Sunday morning. She's been an absolute wreck, the poor thing. I feel you.

Thays how I felt when my grandparents put the dog I grew up with down lat year. I grew up with him so going over basically felt empty because he wasn't there. Now I have to eat crust!

I know the feeling. My family lost our Chesapeake Bay Retriever the other weekend. I'm still hurt over it, he was an awesome dog. I grew up with him, hell almost knew him half my life to date. He was only 2 weeks from his 13th birthday. (Damn onions in the office here too)
My Chessy was a bull headed dog with a lot of personality, may people would have beat or put him down, but being a little boy with 2 brothers we loved rough housing with him. You can only look back at all the good times and know you gave her the best life possible. That is how i'm handling it, knowing my dog had a good life and and that we loved him. Still hurts though.
